The Fokker 70 was developed as a smaller version of the famous Fokker 100 jetliner. With a 70-plus seat capacity, it was aimed at a segment between mid-sized turboprops and smaller jets. The Fokker 70's characteristics allow it to operate out of small and challenging airfields which are common in Jetlantic's network, including the infamous London City airport. The Fokker 100 was originally built in 1986 and remained in production over more than a decade. The -232 is another variant of the Airbus A320 operated by Jetlantic. It was purchased for the airline's operations based in French territory, especially its Nantes hub. It differs from the -216 variant in several aspects, the most remarkable being the engines, as the -232 is fitted with the lesser known but extremely reliable V2527-A5 by IAE. The -232 also boasts the highest maximum take-off weight of all A320 variants, reaching 78 tonnes. The Boeing 737-400 Combi is one of the most interesting commercial aircraft presently in use around the world.
